Last November, the Department of International Trade launched a new Export Strategy – ‘Made in the UK, Sold to the World’ – which sets out the ways in which government will support businesses to realise their exporting potential.
Maria said ‘’I welcome this scheme which shows the Department of International Trade is committed to helping UK business seize international trade opportunities. This new scheme provides free expert advice on international trade, the opportunity to enrol in the Export Academy, and an Export Support Service comprised of a global network of companies. UK Export Finance have also set up an internationalisation fund, which offers a grant of between £1,000 and £9,000 for SMEs that are looking to boost their exports. I urge anyone who owns a business that exports, or would like to start doing so, to access the government’s full range of support by visiting the DIT’s website.’’
