MP Maria Miller visited St Anne’s Catholic Primary school to meet with staff and pupils.
The school became an academy sponsored by the Mother Teresa Multi Academy Trust in October. Maria met with staff for a general catch up and then had a Q and A session with pupils.
Maria commented; “ I very much enjoyed my visit to the school and was interested that the school has formed a Parent Council working alongside the school. The council is a professional structure with its own constitution and will work closely with the school to raise standards further. The Q and A with pupils was very enjoyable with questions covering a wide range of topics from the Queen to climate change."
